The San Francisco City Guides
The tours of the San Francisco City Guides are conducted by trained and experienced volunteers, and the idea is to explore the history and architecture of San Francisco on foot. There are several tours daily in different parts of the city, and the beauty of these tours is that they never stopped to get, whether it is hot or cold or raining. The only day they do not offer tours are on Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve and New Year.
TheCity Guides currently have over 200 different volunteers in the labor market and offers 30 different tours per month. All in all, they have distributed nearly 100 tours on their list of 15 different regions. The best part is that you do not need to book a place. Simply turn up at the right time and start walking!
A detailed schedule for the day and the upcoming month respectively is light on its website. The tours depart from the rule once in the morning and last for 1 1 / 2 to 2Hours.
During these tours are free to accept the City Guides donations from those who are interested. They also offer private group tours for a nominal cost. But these must be booked in advance.
Daily Garden Tours
The San Francisco Botanical Garden Society offers a free daily tour Garden of the SF Botanical Garden. This green sanctuary is a glowing oasis to 55 hectares and with over 7500 species of plants from all overthe world, some of which are no longer found in their homeland. Nature lovers will be hard to find a nice place in the city.
The daily garden tours are led by trained and experienced teachers. The tour starts at the bookstore at 1:30 Clock Monday - Friday at 10:30 and 1:30 clock clock and on weekends. They also start in the Friend Gate (north entrance) at 2 clock on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Jelly Belly Factory Tour
This can only be a recipe for a great day for die-hard candy connoisseurs. A guided factory tour of the famous candy brand is also a perfect trip if you visit San Francisco with children. You can be sure that there will be a day full of fun and color and excitement! In all, it takes about 40 minutes, during which time you will get to see candy making in action as well as learn how they make candy factory actually conjures up to 150 different delicacies. You will discover, eventhe secret behind the famous Jelly Belly jelly beans, and get to try a couple of compilations.
The Jelly Belly Factory Tour operates daily from 9 am to 4 pm PT. The only holidays are Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year and Easter Sunday. There is a chance that they will also be closed on the day before or after these holidays. Registration is not required.
