Leap Castle is sometimes referred to as the most haunted place in Ireland, it certainly has a very bloody history.
It is in Co. Offaly, just outside the town of Roscrea. It was in the middle of the thirteenth century by the Clan O'Bannon built and it became known as the Ui Bhanain glue or the O'Bannon's Leap. The O'Bannon's been the subject of the decision O'Carroll clan.
